Product information
Precise Cell Cultivation with 180°C Dry Heat Sterilization and UV Light
The Alphavita CO2 Incubator MCO-170HS is designed for demanding cell cultivation in medical research and pharmaceutical development. With a volume of 170 liters, it provides a controlled environment for sensitive samples. Thanks to the integrated UV sterilization and 180°C sterilization, the unit is ideally suited for laboratories that demand the highest standards of contamination control and lasting sterility within the incubation chamber.
The model features a six-sided heated chamber with PID control, ensuring stable temperature distribution between RT +5°C and 50°C. A highly precise infrared sensor monitors the CO2 concentration (0-20%) independent of humidity fluctuations. The 7" touchscreen enables intuitive control as well as USB data export of operating information covering a period of up to 10 years. A HEPA filter reliably purifies the incoming gas.
This incubator combines state-of-the-art sterilization technologies with user-friendly touch operation for safe laboratory processes. Discover complementary solutions in our refrigeration technology section or request your individual quote now.Frequently Asked Questions About This Model
What is this CO2 incubator primarily used for?
The MCO-170HS is used for incubating cell and tissue cultures under stable conditions. It is primarily employed where a sterile environment must be ensured through regular 180°C dry heat sterilization and UV irradiation of the air and water.
Which sterilization methods does the unit offer?
The unit offers two sterilization modes: high-temperature sterilization at 180°C for the entire interior chamber, as well as ozone-free UV irradiation of the water pan and air duct for real-time germ reduction during operation.
Which laboratories is the Alphavita MCO-170HS suitable for?
It is ideally suited for cell culture laboratories in biotechnology, clinical research, and the pharmaceutical industry that require a medium capacity volume of 170 liters and automated decontamination processes.
What is the advantage of the built-in infrared sensor?
The IR sensor measures the CO2 concentration within a range of 0 to 20% with high precision. It is insensitive to fluctuations in temperature and humidity and does not need to be removed from the unit for the 180°C sterilization process.
What accessories are included in the standard scope of delivery?
The scope of delivery already includes 4 shelves. The unit also features an interchangeable door hinge and a USB port for exporting operating history data.
