The freezer is designed for the safe storage of temperature-sensitive substances such as biological samples, reagents, and pharmaceutical products. With a temperature range of -5°C to -25°C, it is particularly suitable for research laboratories, clinics, and biobanks. The ATEX approval additionally allows for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The unit achieves a temperature range of -5°C to -25°C with a tolerance of +/-3 Kelvin at ambient temperatures between 10°C and 40°C. The control system continuously monitors temperature and stores min/max values as well as timestamps during temperature alarms. The integrated sensor is calibratable for maximum measurement accuracy.

The freezer is aimed at research laboratories, university institutes, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology firms. The ATEX certification makes it particularly suitable for areas with potentially explosive substances. With 600 liters of usable capacity and variable interior fittings, it adapts to various storage requirements.

Compared to standard laboratory refrigeration units, the BioPLUS series offers an interior made entirely of stainless steel, a highly specialized control system with temperature documentation, and ATEX approval. The compressor is mounted above the refrigeration chamber, creating more usable space. The active electronic defrosting and natural refrigerants set the unit apart from conventional systems. An optional refrigeration safety system with two cooling circuits is available.

The unit is supplied with variable interior fittings and can be equipped with up to 10 stainless steel or aluminum drawers (30 kg or 40 kg load capacity), perforated stainless steel shelves, stainless steel wire racks, or plastic-coated wire racks. Also available are storage racks for cryoboxes, interior doors to minimize cold loss, plexiglass panels for drawers, as well as an optional external data logger and circular chart recorder. The warranty is 3 years on the unit and 5 years spare parts warranty on the compressor.
