A prerequisite for effective drying function is the equipment of the device with a vacuum system in conjunction with the jacket heater offered under this position during the vacuum drying phase. Operating principle of drying in conjunction with post-vacuum and the jacket heater offered here: After completion of the sterilization phase, a vacuum is generated, and the autoclave chamber is heated by the jacket heater. Through the combination of energy input during heating of the sterilization chamber and the vacuum in the chamber, a highly effective drying effect is achieved. As a result, condensate evaporates from the sterilized goods and is extracted via the vacuum pump. This ensures that sterilized goods, e.g. textiles or filters, etc. with high moisture content can be removed from the autoclave in an absolutely dry state. Subsequent drying of sterilized goods in a drying cabinet is no longer necessary. This jacket heater can also achieve a drying effect without a vacuum system, however only if the autoclave is opened during the drying phase so that condensate can evaporate. For autoclaves in the Systec D-Series, automatic door opening can be preselected for each solid program.
