The Labcycler 48 features an aluminum block with 48 wells for 0.2 ml sample tubes arranged in a 6 x 8 matrix. Operation with individual sample tubes and strips is possible. The aluminum block enables heating rates up to 3.5 °C/s and cooling rates up to 3.2 °C/s.
