The deep freezer is suitable for the long-term storage of biological samples, reagents, medications and other temperature-sensitive materials at temperatures between -5°C and -25°C. Typical areas of application are research laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, clinics and diagnostic laboratories.

The GRAM BioCompact II RF 610 has a cooling capacity of 512 watts with a connected load of 435 watts. Energy consumption is 3.88 kWh per 24 hours. The optimised air circulation system ensures even temperature distribution throughout the entire usable volume of 583 litres gross (419 litres net).

The unit is aimed at small to medium-sized research laboratories, university institutes, hospital laboratories and quality control facilities that require reliable -25°C storage. The variable interior fitting with up to 24 wire racks or stainless steel shelves as well as optional drawers makes the cabinet particularly flexible for different sample ranges.

Unlike conventional deep freezers, the BioCompact II features a laboratory-specific forced-air cooling system with an air deflector for even temperatures, digital control with min/max memory, a potential-free fault signal contact for remote monitoring, an acoustic door alarm and a self-closing door with frame heating. The environmentally friendly R600A refrigerant also complies with the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance.

As standard, 5 plastic-coated wire racks are recommended (maximum 24 possible). Optionally available are stainless steel wire racks, perforated stainless steel shelves (load capacity 40 kg), stainless steel drawers with 30 kg or 40 kg load capacity, an external data logger for temperature recording, a 100 ml reference vessel, and a foot pedal door opener. The unit is mounted as standard on 125 mm high castors, but can also be supplied with extendable feet on request.
